The problem
In short, we allow users to add new models to our platform but they don’t get approved (or seen) by other users until we approve them as valid Models. A valid Model is defined by both the Model itself and it’s relation to Make and the year of the Model. We have to have this approval process to ensure integrity of the data on the platform and to avoid abuse.

This Issue
The bug was that already approved Models were being marked unapproved when they shouldn’t have been under very specific circumstances regarding the years they were associated with.

Status Update
We’ve already fixed the issue and will be restoring all the models which were being set to unapproved incorrectly. This will be available to users in the next 24 hours.
