Placeholder images/banners for each car#23

Not all owners will have great photos of their cars and may not want to add “boring” photos so placeholder images or vector your drawings that could be customised based on colour/body style etc could make the interface more appealing.

Just for some clarity is this specifically for the car cover so it appears like that throughout the app?

Having a selection of drawings (vectors) for each body style is a good idea. Definitely doable.

Also I know what you mean, haha, my BMW Z4 current cover photo is of my brake disk when I was getting my tyres changed. Doesn’t look awful but I agree on the sentiment some people might want to use the app more functionally and therefore just have placeholder images.

As an alternative, as I’m interested to know your thought I’d you don’t mind. Would a third garage view as a list be an alternative (so no pictures, just the car names and details). That way the images are less of a requirement too?

I was referring to the cover photo so you can easily see it in your garage etc and also the banner to make each car’s page more visually appealing when you can’t/don’t want to upload your own photos.

A list view would also be appreciated, but the wife will likely stop me before that option becomes too necessary!

Understood haha! We will definitely work to make this feel better for those who don’t necessarily have a cover image to hand, or want one at all.

Our current cover placeholder needs improving as your suggestion as well :)
