A way to organise a large amount of photos in a history file , for example after a restoration which has alot of photos/work done in one go they become jumbled after being imported , would be nice to have folders so you can organise photos into sections. Could be a folder with running gear and then subsections for before and afters.
thanks

Hi William!
Thank you for your feeback/suggestion.
Have you considered having multiple history file entries as the work gets done along the way and then have a custom tag like restoration or body restoration on each entry?
I like the before and after idea a lot though!

Thank you for your response.
Yes i have, but only into 2 sections “running gear” and “bodywork” i feel like if i added each seperate piece (rear axle, subframe, front right wheel arch, etc) each as a seperate history file , it could make the historyfile too “full” and difficult to find things.
As you can see when i import a few photos it starts to make it difficult to see the comparisons and differentiate between the each part(Especially on bodywork where there are 2 seperate wings) , it also seems it doesnt keep them in order of photos when importing them.
I understand this may not be custodians proper use as i understand work is supposed to be logged one section at a time.
But i think folders could still be usefull for differentiating parts within a history file perhaps?

I’ll have a discussion with the team.
I’d argue we’d like people to feel the search would mitigate the issues around having lots of history file issues…
I agree regarding the ordering of the images though. We will look at adding sorting to the car history files (we already have it in car galleries so we can look to add it here too). We can also look at whether we can add support for ordering consistently on uploading.
